A major Nottinghamshire development is taking a key step forward ahead of construction that will "unlock" the vast site. Work to transform land once used for farming into a new neighbourhood is taking a step forward as construction gears up to start on a new road network to link up the inside of the development.
The County Council recently voted to move to its new "low carbon, all-electric office", on which construction should start later this year. Nottinghamshire County Council has now confirmed contractors have begun to set up in preparation for new roadworks and a roundabout to be created within the development, which the authority says will unlock access to its new headquarters.
“Work is due to start by the end of September and estimated to take approximately 40 weeks. Work to build the approved new council building is due to begin later this year.”
