There are reports of Libyans who are “crammed” into one side of the city following the catastrophic floods which destroyed many homes on the east of the country, according to political analyst Abdulkader Assad.
“Those people are displaced from the houses that were swept away by the flood and survived and those people are in need of immediate relocation,” he told Sky News Australia. Tropical Storm Daniel ravaged parts of the Mediterranean including Libya, with 10,000 people missing and up to 3,000 dead. “We have reports and calls from inside Libya to evacuate everybody that has survived this disaster in Derna and to nearby areas so that they can spare their lives and emit the threats of contaminated water, decomposed bodies that area everywhere.
