“Donald Trump is a man who ran for office to make his brand great, not to make our country great,” Cohen said. “He had no desire or intention to lead this nation — only to market himself and to build his wealth and power.” Michael Cohen was one of many lawyers who represented me . He had other clients also. He was just disbarred by the State Supreme Court for lying & fraud. He did bad things unrelated to Trump. He is lying in order to reduce his prison time.
Cohen, who said he would hand over documents to support his assertions, said Trump ordered him to pay $130,000 to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to cover up an affair in violation of campaign finance laws, and also told Cohen to lie about it to first lady Melania Trump. Trump has previously denied knowing in advance about the WikiLeaks release of Democratic National Committee emails during the election.
Stone was indicted by Mueller on charges of lying to Congress about his communications with others related to WikiLeaks email dumps. It is not clear whether Cohen’s testimony will significantly alter public perception of Trump’s business practices or put him in greater legal peril.Moscow deception
