A 'HORIZONTAL' skyscraper is set to open in China later this year as part of a brand new mixed-use complex that features hotels, restaurants, shops, offices and private homes.The huge Raffles City Chongqing is now nearing completion, a complex made up of eight skyscrapers in the Yuzhong district of Chongqing City.Within the glass conservatory bridge will be a viewing deck, infinity pool and sky walk as well as a number of food establishments.
The slightly curved buildings that support The Crystal are meant to replicate a sail on a boat, harking back Chongqing's trading heritage, which used the Yangtze and Jialing rivers for transport vessels.
