A couple transformed an 'uninhabitable' flat into a lovely two-bed home - after bagging it at an auction. Husband and wife Andy and Juvi bought the run-down property for £103,000, but they had a huge task at hand as it came with no front door, single-glazed windows and a dodgy gas supply.
Host Dion Dublin visited the property at the start of the episode and immediately noticed the lack of a front door. Whilst walking around the flat, he also said would need a brand new boiler, double-glazed windows to keep the heat in, a new kitchen and bathroom and a lick of paint. "In terms of the layout I would potentially consider knocking through the wall from this kitchen to the living room to make it more open plan. That would certainly help with lighting and give it a more modern, up-to-date feel."
After visiting the flat post-transformation, Dion was left impressed at the couple's makeover. Speaking to the host, Juvi said: "We're very happy with the outcome. Everything is in good standard especially the finishing touches so we're very pleased."
