A review was ordered into Sydney's development. It was released in the comments on a Facebook post | JakeSaulwick

The “rapid rate of housing supply” across Sydney has not been matched by the infrastructure “necessary to support it” – according to a review commissioned by Premier Gladys Berejiklian and released only in the comments on a Facebook post.by the Greater Sydney Commission [GSC] into development and planning in his electorate.

“Furthermore, stakeholders have identified the lack of effective collaboration between local and state government, together with the development sector, as a contributing factor.” The findings were criticised by the developer lobby group, the Urban Taskforce. The 4500 dwellings created in three years, for instance, were in line with the GSC’s own development target for Ryde of 7600 dwellings.

Their review, which will be followed by more detailed recommendations in May, is not mentioned on the website of the GSC. Labor's planning spokeswoman, Tania Mihailuk, called the release a gross misuse of taxpayer funds.
