San Francisco approved more building permits for new housing units in September than any other month this year and nearly 26 times more units than in August, but The City remains well behind the pace necessary to meet its state-mandated goals.
San Francisco must approve, on average, more than 833 units per month over the next eight years to meet the goals laid out in the state-approved housing element.
