Governor Alia disclosed this during a meeting with the Tiv Area Traditional Council,TATC in Gboko. He said the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management in the state was working with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation to provide necessary facilities for the victims.
Kunde admonished the TATC to remain supportive of the efforts of the government and encourage its subjects to embrace the initiative. He further said schools and hospitals will be constructed within the affected communities to reduce out-of-school children and improve access to Medicare by the IDPs. In his remark, the Tor Tiv, His Royal Majesty, Prof James Ayatse, lauded the governor for his concern to improve the welfare of victims of herdsmen attack.
