Police in Queens are looking for the crooks who violently slashed a man during a robbery attempt early on Sunday morning.

Authorities said the incident happened at about 5:14 a.m. on March 10 near the corner of 21st Street and 30th Avenue in Astoria.

Law enforcement sources said two suspects wearing face masks approached the male victim and demanded property. When he refused to comply with their orders, cops said, one of the suspects pulled out a sharp object and slashed the man across the face and torso. After the bloody assault, authorities reported, the perpetrators fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. No property had been taken, police sources said.
