The City of Pickering is receiving $5.2-million from Queen’s Park as a reward for meeting government housing targets. The funds come through the provincial government’s ‘Building Faster Fund’ and will support housing and community infrastructure. Premier Doug Ford commends Pickering for their success and Mayor Kevin Ashe expresses commitment to creating a diverse housing community.

Queen’s Park is sending $5.2-million to the City of Pickering, as a reward for meeting government housing targets. As well, officials say they issued more than 1,900 building permits. The money comes through the provincial government’s ‘Building Faster Fund,’ which has incentives for housing and community infrastructure. “Pickering is getting it done on housing and we are proud to reward them for their success,” said Premier Doug Ford in a release.
