Barbara Nusz of Clearfield hurried home after her boyfriend reported a neighbor's tree toppling into their yard, shaking their house. Despite extensive damage, no injuries were reported. "You can't even see the backyard," Nusz said. "I came home expecting to find a hole in the kitchen, and thank goodness it didn’t go through the house."
Residents also shared photos of neighborhood damage, including a large tree uprooted in South Weber and another tree collapsing onto a Layton home. In both cases, structures appeared unharmed."It felt like I had my own personal earthquake going on," Nusz said.
