The tornado uprooted trees in other areas of the city, but caused no other known damage to homes or structures, fire officials said.

Tornadoes are rated on the Enhanced Fujita scale — from the EF0 to EF5 — which measures wind speed and storm damage. Officials had not delcared a rating for the Frisco tornado as of Friday morning, but Dunn said she believed it would fall under EF0 or EF1. The weather service had said Thursday’s storms had the potential to produce large hail, damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall.
