Gedling Borough Council's planning committee will decide on whether to grant permission for the expansion of the Eagles Edge housing development in Nottinghamshire, which could add 141 new homes to the estate. The first stage of the development is already occupied, and the developers now want to proceed with the next phase, which would have almost twice the number of houses. The builder plans to offer a mix of detached, semi-detached, and terraced housing, with 21 different house types available. Some of the properties will be classified as affordable homes.

An important decision will soon be made on whether more than 100 new homes can be added to a Nottinghamshire housing estate. The Eagles Edge housing development, which is off Mansfield Road, Redhill, could be expanded by 141 homes if Gedling Borough Council's planning committee follows advice to grant permission for the project next week, on Wednesday, March 27. The first stage, which comprises 72 homes, has been constructed and is largely occupied.

The estate's developers Barwood Homes Ltd, MF Strawson & Magal Investments LLP Agent now want to use the 6.95 hectares for its next phase, which would have almost twice the amount of houses as the first. In planning documents, the builder said there would be a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced housing, with 21 different house types available for prospective buyers. The property developer said 21 of the properties would be classed as affordable, with 15 these being First Homes and the remaining six being affordable rent.
