As their deliberations came to a close this week, Council gave some clues as to how a number of housing- and transit-related initiatives will unfold across Toronto in the months to come.Toronto City Council met for three days this week and there was a laundry list of items on their docket.

Of those, 74 are located in Major Transit Station Areas, said Jollimore, and it’s those sites that Jollimore is recommending the City hone in on for immediate housing development. The motion passed thanks to a majority vote on Thursday with only Brad Bradford and Stephen Holyday opposed.Council is in the midst of eying the now-defunct Scarborough rapid transit line for potential reuse.
