Ivana Bacik has restated Labour's goal to build one million homes in a decade - 50,000 new builds and 50,000 retrofits per year - should they be in government. Russian president Vladimir Putin has said that the gunmen who attacked a Moscow concert hall attempted to escape to Ukraine, a claim denied by Kyiv. Kyiv has accused Moscow of targeting its energy infrastructure as part of an overnight attack where 88 missiles and 63 Shahed drones were fired at Ukraine.

The attack, with several gunmen attacking a concert hall on the edge of Moscow, is the deadliest Russian terrorist event in recent years.
