A man whose death is being treated as 'murder' by police has been formally identified as Steven Hutton.
He was rushed to Ninewells Hospital for treatment but died the following day. Police have confirmed his death is being treated as 'suspicious'. A 43-year-old man, Barry Murray, made no plea to a single charge of murder when he appeared in the dock on Tuesday.Following his death, Steven's mum, Margot Hutton, shared a Facebook memory photograph of her son taken after completing a 10k running event in 2016.
“The 43-year-old-man, who can now be named as Steven Hutton, was found seriously injured within a property on Charleston Road, Dundee, on Saturday, 30 March, 2024.“Following a post mortem examination, Steven's death is being treated as murder and extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances“A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death. He is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 3 April, 2024.
