A five-bedroom house in South Australia’s outback is being advertised for just $50,000. The Coober Pedy home on Big Johns Rd includes air-conditioning, built in wardrobes and is located near the town’s main street. Real estate agency, Andrews Property Regional SA, said the previous tenant was paying $180 per week to stay in the home. The home is situated on a 1000sqm freehold title block that has a smaller two-bedroom building with a toilet, previously used as a hairdressing salon.
“The flooring is dated, stained, and worn through to the concrete in sections. The bathroom is from original build and is in need of a complete new re-build,” the advertisement said. “This home needs upgrades in terms of wet areas, climate control, plumbing and electrical plus flooring.” Located in the centre of South Australia, Coober Pedy is about a nine-hour drive from the capital city of Adelaide, and has a population of about 1500 people.
