TV hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly are fighting for their money back after losing almost £2.5 million in the collapse of an exclusive Algarve property complex.
Dec - who co-hosted I'm A Celebrity with Holly Willoughby so his long-time TV sidekick could deal with his personal issues - is owed a staggering 2,797,293 euros . The developer, officially declared insolvent in May 2017, is appealing the move and has insisted the bank was wrong to pull the plug on the residential development near the famous Quinta do Lago resort.
"It was a very distressing time for them. They have both decided giving up without a fight is not an option." Tight-lipped judicial administrators have declined to discuss the case, and Abreu Advogados failed to respond to a request for comment.
