A new affordable housing community will be built on the far north side of San Antonio, on the northwest corner of North 281 and Borgfeld Drive. Homeowners are concerned about what effects the accelerated growth will have on the area.
One of the biggest concerns homeowner Mason Brand has is how the school system will handle more students and how his children’s education will be affected. “A whole bunch of apartments going up in a very confined space and if you’ve been up there, logistically, you’ve seen the hill, you’ve seen 281 and Borgfeld. It’s going to be an absolute nightmare when it comes to traffic,” said Brand.
