A 19-year-old man died hours after being shot at an East Harlem public housing complex, police announced Thursday morning.

Law enforcement sources said the victim was gunned down at the Thomas Jefferson Houses located at 205 East 112th St. at about 3:36 a.m. on April 10.and NYPD PSA 5, in responding to a 911 call at the location at that time, found the victim conscious and alert, with a gunshot wound to his torso.

EMS rushed the victim to Harlem Hospital, but his condition deteriorated, and he died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.
