The police in Lulekani are investigating a case of arson after a vehicle and residential property were burned to ashes. The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, 10 April 2024.

According to the report, the complainant was alerted by his partner after she heard some strange noise in the yard. When he went out to investigate, he realised that his BMW i20 that was parked in the garage was on fire and he called his neighbours for assistance. Unfortunately, the vehicle exploded, and the house caught fire as well. Police and Emergency Services were summoned to the scene and upon arrival, found, both the vehicle and the house engulfed in flames.
