According to Dauphin County Commissioner George Hartwick, the county has spent more than $4 million on homelessness since 2019 from both tax revenue and federal grants. According to Hill, the City of Harrisburg receives an annual Emergency Solutions Grant from the federal government of about $165,000 each year.
