Firefighters and hazmat responded to the scene on Saturday

Residents were allowed to return to their homes on Sunday, April 21, 2024 after a train derailed in Wyoming on Saturday. The city said all parks and businesses were also open while CSX continued to make repairs. WYOMING, Ohio - Residents can return home after parts of Wyoming were evacuated on Saturday after a train derailment, according to the Wyoming Police Department.

According to the City of Wyoming’s website, hazmat crews have advised as of 10:23 p.m. that residents can return home and shelter in place.CSX is on-site and will handle cleanup, and hope to have the tracks open and the site cleared in the next 12 hours, officials say.
