An urgent recall has been issued for a popular home heating product sold throughout Irish stores as it presents a risk of electric shock and burns for the user.

According to the consumer watchdog, the product has a risk of electric shock, fire, burns and damage to property as the connector attached to the heat pad can overheat and melt during use.There are approximately 192 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The product was on sale in TK Maxx and Homesense stores between December 2023 and March 2024.
