A gardener accused of the murder of an elderly man and the attempted murder of the man’s wife has had his case mentioned in court for the first time.
Frederick Steel Sayers, 26, was charged with the attempted murder of Sue Reeves and the murder of Nick Reeves.Detectives believed the incident unfolded that morning after Beachmere man Sayers, who was at the Reeves property and a neighbour’s to do gardening work, got into a dispute with the couple.
