The drive-up payment drop box behind Building A at the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave. in Geneva, is one way Kane County taxpayers can get their property tax payments to the county. Kane County property tax bills payable in 2024 are expected to be mailed on May 1, Kane County officials said.
Beginning May 1, taxpayers can go to the treasurer’s website at Treasurer.KaneCountyIL.gov to view and print duplicate bills, officials said. Online payments are accepted at Treasurer.KaneCountyIL.gov. There is no fee for an e-check payment, according to the release, but there are convenience fees when using credit or debit cards to make the payments. Over-the-phone payments are not accepted.
Payments by check, with the payment coupon and in the envelopes provided, can also be placed in the drive-up payment drop box behind Building A at the Kane County Government Center, 719 S. Batavia Ave. in Geneva. The drop box is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
