British Columbia-based builders and renovators are celebrating their wins following this year’s Georgie Awards.
“There’s a lot of building going on in the British Properties, so we wanted something that stands out from the rest,” says Paramax interior designer Jane Dabrowski. She says that at one point, company principal Gary Tiwana was going to move in. “You walk through it and there are so many things you won’t see around. That was our main goal with this home.”
Other features include Italian cabinetry, full-slab marble walls, German-European windows and European light fixtures. For the second consecutive year, Vernon-based Bercum won for Custom Home Builder of the Year. My House Design/Build Team received two Grand Georgies—including winning Residential Renovator of the Year for the fifth year in a row. While many of this year’s winners were familiar faces, some newbies crashed the party.
Mowat says they chose to enter this project because it showcases the abilities of his Davenport Homes team, which includes three full-time employees and subcontractors.
