The Pa. property with a giant Dixie Cup on the roof has been vacant for more than 20 years.

Seen in April 2015, the former Dixie Cup factory on South 24th Street in Wilson Borough has sat mostly vacant for decades.. It’s the latest in a succession of apartment, condominium and warehouse plans for the property that’s been vacant for more than 20 years.

On the first floor will be a high-end, pet-friendly bar. The bar will be run in-house. It will be comparable to bars run byThe bar will serve, beer, wine, cheese, light fare and cold sushi. There aren’t plans for a full-service restaurant on site, Bartee said, but the bar will cater to dog walkers who want to stop in from the nearby trail.

The cup weighs about five tons, Bartee said. In its place, Skyline will build a replacement cup out of fiberglass for the roof, Bartee said.
