A hearing into alleged Ethics in Public Office Act breaches by Fianna Fáil’s Robert Troy will be held next month, the Standards in Public Office Commission has confirmed.

On Tuesday afternoon, SIPO confirmed that a hearing into allegations that Deputy Troy broke the Ethics in Public Office Act will be held next month. In his resignation statement in August 2022, Mr Troy stated that he was "more than happy to answer any questions SIPO or the RTB have". "I am sorry that it has caused so much upheaval and has distracted from the serious issues at hand in this country and the good work this government is doing, and my party is doing, particularly in housing.
