A resident living next to a Nottingham house, currently under police investigation, has revealed she heard crying that "went on for hours" before the discovery of two bodies, believed to be a mother and daughter.
Speaking to NottinghamshireLive, she said: "My bedroom is adjacent to their house and one night I heard some crying that went on for hours but I just thought it was some male cats around my area getting a bit giddy. It went on until about 5am and I remember feeling so relieved that it stopped. But now having this outcome, it's all a bit different."
The council spokesperson also mentioned that they could not confirm whether the tenants had any previous interactions with social services.
