Twenty-five-year-old Caycee Bregel, who ran an animal rescue non-profit out of her home south of the Twin Cities, pleaded guilty Friday to 13 counts of animal cruelty.
Bregel was ordered to serve 200 hours of community service, two years of probation and 90 days of electronic home monitoring. She must also receive a psychological examination. Court documents say complaints about the pig running loose led investigators to the house. They found numerous cats and dogs in poor health and said the emitted an "overpowering smell of urine and feces." Dead cats were found in shallow graves across the backyard, in freezers and refrigerators, and in the garage.
That woman is mentally ill, she needs hospitalization :(. Guarantee people knew what was going on but they passed their animal responsibility to her :(. Very very sad.
Horrible!
What about a ban on adopting? What's preventing her from doing this again?
🤬🤬🤬
They need to lock crazies like this up in institutions and stop the threat of them to the community.
More of the same institutional protection and refusal to hold women accountable.
I feel bad for whichever community this dumpster fire of a human is forced to perform service in. Apologies to all dumpsters everywhere for the unfair comparison.
