A public meeting discussing the future of a community-led housing project in Clydesdale will take place next week.

Glespin Community Group have submitted applications to South Lanarkshire Council’s Renewable Energy Fund and Rural Housing Fund for the next phase of work and will submit an application to Scottish Land Fund. Ashlay Smith from the community group, said: “We had an overwhelming response to the housing needs and demands assessment last year. Through that, we were able to evidence that there is a clear need for affordable housing in Glespin. We are looking forward to drilling down further into the details of the need through this next stage.”
