The Met Office has issued a further yellow weather warning for rain and thunderstorms in the Greater Glasgow area later today .
A warning for thunder is currently in place across many towns in Lanarkshire with residents told to expect travel disruption and potential power cuts until 9pm. There is expected to be a heavy downpour overnight until 4am tomorrow . The Met Office website reads: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected once again on Wednesday, with some travel disruption and flooding possible."Heavy rain will fall in places overnight into the early hours of Thursday, perhaps causing some travel disruption and flooding."
