Lisburn councillors have hit out after an “horrific and frightening” incident erupted on a city street.
The PSNI said: “Police in Lisburn have charged a man with disorderly behaviour following a report of a disturbance in the Grand/ Grove Street area of the city on Monday evening, May 27. He added that the council should “write to Triangle about this situation and ask them, request that they actually sit down with ourselves, the police and the Housing Executive and learn the lessons that we all learned from Graham Gardens housing development”.
“The current review in to the likes of intimidation points and how they are allocated needs to sort this issue out, in my opinion. The area has historically been a close knit community, family community with children growing up in it and I am very, very angry and frustrated tonight and share that anger and frustration with my neighbours.
“I remember one of the recent developments, the videos went through of people throwing TVs and stuff out of flat windows. And every time you talk about delivering another social housing area you’re faced with the ongoing video clips and comments.
