The whereabouts of Gloria Schulze have not been known to police since the suspect fled Arizona before she could be prosecuted for a manslaughter charge dating back to 1994. Maher had been an advocate against drunk driving and founded a chapter of Students Against Drunk Driving at Xavier College Preparatory High School.In 2001, the suspect was tried in absentia and found guilty of manslaughter and endangerment. Scottsdale police would spend the next two decades attempting to find Schulze so she could be sentenced for the offenses.
