Nottingham Crown Court heard how drug dependent Jonathon Sodergren must have cut himself breaking class to force his way into the Chilwell property which was unoccupied following the death of its owner.

“Droplets of your blood were left all over the house and it was from that blood you were identified. You were then convicted in your absence at the magistrates’ court.“You have 16 previous convictions for 41 offences, but none of them are for burglary and what is of great concern to me is your drug use and you know the path it has taken you down.
