A heartbroken family said they are 'living in hell' after a mum-of-four died following an incident in garden.The 49-year-old was airlifted to hospital following the incident. She spent nine months in a vegetative state, however tragically showed no signs of recovery. Her devastated loved ones made the impossible decision to end her life earlier this month. Karen passed away on May 8, surrounded by her family.

There, tests revealed Karen’s injuries were so severe she was in a vegetative state. Over the following days, weeks and months, Leanne and her family hoped and prayed Karen would display some signs of recovery. “The last time he saw her, she was playing on the trampoline with him. Our whole lives have been taken away. She’s been suffering in the hospital and now we’re left suffering for the rest of our lives.”
Described as a “loving, vibrant and radiant soul” who “loved and cherished life,” Karen’s family say she always found a reason to be grateful.
