A Pennsylvania senator is trying to prevent migrant housing from becoming a burden for state taxpayers.

An upcoming bill in the Pennsylvania Senate would ban migrants from being eligible for state public housing.

The senator also called out leaders in the federal Housing and Urban Development Department . Former Secretary Marcia Fudge in Januarybefore the House Committee on Financial Services, saying the department placed no restrictions on how housing funds can be used for migrants.
