Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin says action will be taken if the factory is found flouting the law.

The polluted area at the back of the battery manufacturing plant in Kampung Jenjarom, Kuala Langat.

“We will look into the matter. If the plant is found to bypass the rules, then action will be taken if needed,” she told reporters today at Hospital Ampang. An environmentalist, Maketab Mohamed, had claimed there are signs of lead poisoning among the villagers and workers from the factory.
