A local teacher and cancer survivor has a home that is in much better shape tonight, thanks to the efforts of the Asian Real Estate Association of America and s

everal local contractors.

At the same time, she was undergoing chemotherapy, Pearl’s home had fallen into disrepair – no air conditioning or running water -- the very foundation was compromised, as was the roof. “The roof has, it was just at temporary roof, and it has been for a couple of years, and I just hope can survive,” pearl said.

Multiple local contractors have donated the work and materials to make pearl's home more livable again. “JM Roofing and Siding they redid the roof and took care of that. And then many other contractors – Mccarroll Plumbing, Inside Out Home Improvement,” said Casey Connor, who owns Transformation Irrigation and got many of his friends in the field to pitch in. Today – Pearl’s home is in significantly better shape than it was before work started.
