City Council News

The City Council signs off on annexing the Birch at Spencer Ranch, a 71-acre project where developers plan to build 209 homes.

Boerne just got a little bit bigger, as the City Council has signed off on annexing a development where plans call for building more than 200 homes. The council on Tuesday night gave initial approval to annexing the Birch at Spencer Ranch, a 71-acre project along Texas 46 where developers plan to build 209 single-family homes.

Wondering where new Hill Country residents are moving from? You might be surprised. A final vote on the annexation is scheduled for the council's next meeting on June 25. The Birch at Spencer Ranch is part of the 183-acre Spencer Ranch mixed-use development, which will include both residential and commercial properties. Forestar Real Estate Group is developing the single-family home portion of the project.
