A reporter who visited the Airbnb where missing Jay Slater was last seen has described how difficult it was to access in the rural mountain area of Tenerife.
Jay, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, made his last known call to his friend Lucy at around 8 am, telling her he was lost and his phone was about to run out of power. His phone's last known location was in a vast mountainous area about half a mile north of Masca. "The holiday cottage is situated midway up a mountain, just outside of Masca. It takes around an hour to get to from the popular resort of Los Cristianos - where Jay and his friends were staying in a booked apartment.
