Six family members, who have been living in poverty, were shocked when enforcement officers from the Johor Housing Secretariat came to evict them from their flat.
“I had no problem paying the rent before the accident but after that I lost my job,” he said when met at his flat here.”I never gave up as I need the money to support my family. I even worked as a security guard but as I limp, I lost that job too,” he said. He currently works at a friend’s workshop and earns between RM10 and RM20 a day, apart from the RM500 per month aid given by Baitulmal.Pasir Gudang MCA division chief Tan Tuan Peng said the family was in dire straits.
Just sad state of affairs. While many live in laps of luxury, we forget those that are truly in need. Malaysia needs to exterminate all corrupt politicians so we can have a surplus to help ppl in need. Smh
Ppl should try to being poor before commenting like go to the gov office to seek help from them, don't be cruel. Government should Instead go and house visit and undrlerstand their plight and propose a solution
The gov cannot help if the ppl themselves did not try to seek for help. And then, they blamed the gov for being heartless. This happens when ppl don't read and think for themselves. They relied on hearsay & emotions.
UMNO and BN have failed numerous Malaysians. How can such a thing happened? Where is the safety net? Didn't UMNO BN even bothered about such plight that's happening right under their nose all the years they were in power?
