The family of late Sydney hotelier Paul Irvin is selling his Darling Point apartment after a major designer overhaul revealed stunning harbour views.

who is one of the Irvins’ seven children and CEO of Irvin Hotels Group. Paul Irvin passed away in 2019 aged 91, while Verna died in 2022. Ms Blanchfield, who is known for her pared-back aesthetic, said the best views from the north-facing apartment had been obscured by small rooms and large swaths of brick walls.

“We used earthy, soulful finishes such as travertine, timber, rich marble and intricate detailing to bring a sense of nostalgia and permanence to the spaces.”The result is what Sotheby’s listing agent Michael Pallier describes as “the highest-quality apartment that’s just been finished, with a front-row seat to Sydney’s best views”.
