Eircode - a postcode system for identifying the location of every house and business in Ireland – was launched back in 2015. Each Eircode is unique, which is helpful for emergency services, people making deliveries, and those looking to find their correct destination. The codes, however, have been criticised in the past for having no logistical sense and for the €38 million spend on the system.Yes No I don't know how to / no opinion

It’s works fine, but don’t understand why they don’t start with the counties two letters...like number plates do....my code sounds like a fighter aircraft.

No it's a complete waste , money they could of been used to help homeless, and education

So, at last it is not just Dublin who have simlar to UK postcodes. As others have stated these will be of great help for tourists trying to located their holiday rental.

Living in a small city I taught I wouldn't be. But this week a HSE delivery driver read my address wrong (honestly that's the excuse) and now I have to use the eir code. Delivery driver also decided not to ring when he was lost.

Eircode is great to find a place just put it in on Google maps

DubFireBrigade and the national ambulance service use it to find your house, it’s important to know! We had an emergency in our new housing estate, it was pretty much the only way the could find us! Eircode

No point, 2 different addresses came up on different sites I gave it to.

I use our Eircode All the time or the couriers would never find us😂 ruralIreland

When I give my eircode for deliveries if brings the delivery driver into the estate behind my house. No where near the entrance to my own home.
