The Lagos State Government has refunded 145 subscribers to the Egan-Igando Mixed Housing Estate following their indication to opt out of the housing scheme.

The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Housing, Mr Abdulhafis Toriola, confirmed this in a statement issued by Mr Adesile Rufai, the Chief Public Affairs Officer, Ministry of Housing, on Monday in Lagos.

He added those who previously subscribed and paid in full, but no longer interested in the house, could apply for a refund. He noted that a police report and a declaration of loss should be provided in the case of lost documents.He emphasised that priority would be given to those who paid in full to get their houses first, saying others with partial payments can choose to complete the payment or get a refund.
