Thrive Homes has appointed an"industry veteran" as its new chair who says she is"relishing the challenge" ahead.

Kate Still from Hemel Hempstead has taken the reins at the housing association, which operates in Watford and nearby areas, after working within the sector for 15 years.Ms Still said: "I am thrilled to become chair of Thrive Homes and relish the challenge of helping the organisation to drive forward its mission of improving access to affordable housing in some of the least affordable parts of the UK.

Alongside this, the association's new chair has insight into social housing, having grown up on Highfield Estate in Hemel Hempstead."Her blend of professional expertise and lived experience means that she is a great addition to Thrive’s board."We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues.
