The Taoiseach has said he has "full confidence" in the Minister for Housing, despite the latest homelessness figures.
The latest figures show that in March 2019 there were 10,305 adults and children without a home and living in hotels, B&Bs and family hubs, an increase of 41 on the previous month.Speaking in Cork, Leo Varadkar said the housing portfolio is a "very difficult job". The Taoiseach added: "Recovering from that was always going to be difficult. It was always going to take time.
Mr Varadkar said 18,000 new houses were built last year adding that "we need to get that up closer to 25,000 this year".
No confidence

I am sick to the teeth of Ministers coming out with this full confidence BS. Just think back to F, Fitzgerald and who was expressing full confidence in her. Its given this word a new low. To Irish people F, confidence means nothing when spoken by Gov Minster anymore.

Well LeoVaradkar has been known to fudge the books and cover up the facts.
The taoiseach had full confidence that Murphy can drive those figures right up there. At least we'll be top of something in the EU.

Not everyone wants a house, some like the streets, some are on the street and have homes some don't life is not simple and it's not down to the government to do everything for everyone.
If Mr varadkar was a proper leader,Mr Murphy would have been moved to the back benches immediately,Murphy is not capable of being a good councillor, never mind a minister,in a private company his incompetence would have closed down the business.
Please stop voting for Fine Gowl and Fianna Fraud. You don't need anymore evidence of their corruption and greed. Stop making excuses and put the country first.
