BIN COLLECTIONS could take place every three weeks for around 1,000 homes in Devon.

West Devon Borough Council will decide next week whether to approve a trial that would reduce black sack collections from fortnightly to every three weeks. The proposals, that would affect hundreds of households and start in November, is an attempt to combat declining recycling rates in the area. If the trial is successful, the three weekly refuge collections could be rolled out to the rest of the region.
