AUDIO: Rates cut likely but RBA 'shadow' board not tipping aggressive cycle

The Reserve Bank will almost certainly cut its cash rates to a new low of 1.25 per cent at tomorrow's board meeting.

While some market economists are tipping rates to fall as low as 0.5 per cent, the RBA"shadow" board at the Australian National University is not predicting an aggressive cutting cycle. Dr Timo Henckel speaks with ABC's Peter Ryan. He says extremely low interest rates could reignite the real estate market and tempt borrowers to load up on debt.
